Studio Diary 4A

Sometimes getting the call “Hey we’re having pizza and beers over here at the studio – bring your guitar and let’s track!” can be a good thing or not so good.  Good in the sense that you may have some fun and there’s no pressure.  Bad in the sense that there may be too much “fun” going on and the quality of the tracks may be dicey.  None the less,  I did have fun and from what I heard everything sounded pretty good!

This was one of those situations where I just brought my guitar and plugged in to the house studio rig.  I figured it was a “fun” session and I was also anxious to try out some different gear!

Notice the huge pedal to the left – that’s the pre-amp and speed control for the Leslie speaker.  Very cool sound!

(sorry about the blurry picture!)

The Bogner amp with the Leslie speaker created a great stereo sound.  I played the lapsteel through the set up and it sounded great!
