Well as you may (or may not know) –  I like to play and perform live!  The “Johnny Hawthorn Band” is by far my favorite band to play with but I also dabble with other bands in town as a semi permanent member or just occasional “fill in” band member to fill my constant thirst of performing for the public!

Here’s a quick rundown of some of the bands that are in my current playing circle:

Grant Langston and the Supermodels: a smoking band that combines “Bakersfield” style Country with a slight rock edge that keeps your feet tapping and your fists banging!  I’ve known these guys for years, played on their CD’s and have a blast on stage with them.  I just finished recording a new CD with the band and you can expect more dates as the year progresses!

Shari Puorto Band: nuther great singer and performer – think “Blues with an attitude!”  I got together with Shari a couple of years ago and have done many shows all over the country.  She’s got the whole package on stage and the band jams!   We are currently working on a new batch of tunes and Shari keeps the calendar full of shows so I’m always playing out with this band!

American Monster Burlesque and Blues: This one is different! Think “dirty” blues with “dirty” dancing and you get the picture.

Its a whole show and its very entertaining!  This particular project plays either in Long Beach or Santa Monica Harvelles (bar and club).  Depending on my schedule I try to make as many shows as I can cause I really like this gig!
