Microphones are an important part of getting the “right sound” when recording.
I was lucky enough to record the last CD at Dragonfly Creek Studios where
they have a nice selection of different mics for vocals, drums and guitars.

One day I was at the Royer Mic shop in Burbank and gave them a copy of
“Pawn Shop Tattered Heart” saying that we used their 121 ribbon mic on
practically every electric guitar track.  I then got a email a week later from
them saying they loved the CD and couldn’t stop listening to it and would
I mind them featuring it on the website.
